RegioFuturi specialises in work on regional and economic development. Based on decades of experience, we support relevant institutions in the global competition for quality of life and investments. In close collaboration with local actors, this implies: uncovering regional strengths and weaknesses, workshops on consensus building on guiding principles, strategies and action plans for development, establishment and strengthening of institutions, international networking, identification of funding opportunities. RegioFuturi has experience throughout western and eastern Europe, gained in fields such as regional strategies and action plans; technology development; logistics, science and commercial parks; urban renewal and tourism. Based in the charming Nahe wine region on the fringes of the Rhine-Main metropolitan area in southwestern Germany, we have access to regional actors, who will happily share their know-how. Our clients may thus benefit both from experiences of urbanised areas and of more rural settings.
On this basis, RegioFuturi has developed a focus on EU grant funds, in particular in advising managing authorities in terms of programme design, planning and implementation. Thus, the ministries of finance in Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania, Estonia and numerous other high-level institutions have been advised in matters of programme and project design, along with compliant implementation procedures. In cross-border co-operation, we have been active in France and Germany as well as in Serbia, Czechia, Montenegro and their neighbouring countries.
In a related field, RegioFuturi has dealt with export promotion from developing countries. Projects have been carried out throughout the Caribbean, a number of African countries, in Indonesia as well as in the Indian Ocean island states. Training and evaluation are also part of the portfolio.

Born in Frankfurt am Main (Germany) in 1955, primary and secondary education in Germany and Singapore. German Abitur and American High School Diploma at the John-F.-Kennedy-School, Berlin in 1973. 1974-1976 vocational training in industrial commerce with Siemens AG, 1977-1982 studies in economics and geography at Mainz and Berlin Free Universities; 1982-1983 loan officer with KfW, Frankfurt am Main); 1983-1996 project co-ordinator / team leader with GOPA-Consultants, Bad Homburg. Self-employed under the RegioFuturi® brand since 1997. German and English mother tongues, fluent French, good Serbian and reasonable Romanian and Spanish.
