Adviser for cross-border co-operation

Advice to the Ministry in the implementation of ongoing Phare-CBC programmes with Bavaria, Saxony, Austria and Poland. Preparation of calls for proposals, project design/logical framework approach, assessment of project applications and progress reports. Representative of the Czech side in the mid-term evaluation of the programme with Saxony. Support for the transition of Phare programmes to Interreg (adaptation of programme documentation and procedures).
RegioFuturi proposed that the most effective way to provide training would be the development of a project pipeline for the proposed grant schemes; and possibly Interreg, projects. This way, training was delivered not in an abstract, theoretical way, but “hands-on” and with ready-to-implement results. Such training, to be realistic and successful, had to involve – beside Ministry staff – also the actors at the regional levels (for example RDAs, municipalities), who are those normally responsible for drawing up project proposals. West Midlands Enterprise, Birmingham (UK)
